JH Teams Compete

The junior high basketball teams have started their season. While the girls have completed their season, the boys have yet to compete in a game. Both teams work very hard to make this season a good one by practicing every school day during eighth period under the guidance of Coach Christian Kroos.
The junior high girls' basketball team members included Jordan Dassinger, Brenna Schneider, Bridget Gallagher, Bailey Streff, Miranda Stade, Ronne Cook, Lily Hanke, Natalie Hoffman, and Dusty Augustin. The girls' team won over Gibbon on November 10, lost to Franklin on November 16 and Silver Lake on November 23, and won over Shelton on December 7; and they won their last game over Amherst on December 19.
The junior high boys' basketball team includes Micah Magnuson, Gunner Belz, Zach Edwards, Isaiah McChesney, Kory Heier, Austin Schnitzler, Wyatt Woodman, Riley Pulver, Evan Uden, Colton Blankenship, Christian Brumbaugh, and Lane Tibbs.
Five of their seven games in January and February will be played at home. Their first game is on January 9 against Silver Lake.
Both of the teams' goals for this season are to have fun, to develop fundamentals, and to make the transition to high school basketball easier. Since the teams are still so young, they are always having new experiences every game.
