Wrestlers take them down!

    The Kenesaw-Shelton wrestling team is off to a good start. Their first meet at Harvard on December 5, resulted in five individual champions and the team title with 192 points at the Harvard/Clay Center Invitational. Individual champions for Kenesaw/Shelton were Isaiah Chavez (135), Traven Claflin (160) Tanner Hawks (135), Collin Donahoo (189), and Josh Powell (215). Norberto Garcia (140) was third; Nick McDowell (103), Tucker Spellman (119) and Eben Foster (130) were fourth.

    Then, at the Wood River Invitational on December 11, the team received two individual champions and finished fourth with 118 points. Individual winners were Collin Danohoo (189) and Josh Powell (215). Noberto Garcia (140) and Tanner Hawks (171) were third; Isaiah Chavez (135) was fourth.

    The wrestlers competed against Elm Creek and McCool Junction in a triangular at home on December 21.
