Finley Named Student Leader of the Month

Katie Finley, daughter of Ross and Lisa Finley and Doug and Becky Harpham, was named student leader for January. Katie is a good role model academically. she maintains her high GPA by remaining concerned for actual learning. Her internal motivation to always do better is demonstrated quite often.
Katie consistently has a positive attitude. As a Teacher's Assistant, she takes the initiative to get her job done without being told what to do each day--and without ever complaining about the workload. Even if an adult is not close by to supervise, Katie does her job well. Character may be defined as what one does when no one else is looking...Katie has character.
Katie works well with others. She is eager to help the elementary students when they come to the library to check out books. She is a team player during her athletic activities. As Student Council president she does not hesitate to volunteer to do the many "extra things" when no one else speaks up. Katie is the optimal choice of one who was "born to lead."
