June 2010 School Board Meeting

The Kenesaw Public School Board of Education met in regular session on June 14, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Action was taken on the following:

Approved the minutes of the May 10 Regular Meeting as presented.
Approved the Treasurer's Report.
Approved the June 2010 Claims in the amount of $213,905.36.
Approved the Summer School for June and July, 2010.
Accepted the teaching contract with Jennifer Bekke, the new Special Education Teacher.
Approved to set the school lunch prices at the same level for the 2010-2011 school year.
Approved the Negotiated Agreement for the 2010-2011 school year with the Kenesaw Education Association. The base salary will increase $1100.00 to $29,300.00 and insurance cost of Ee, Spouse & Children will be $1260.25 a month; Ee and Child(ren) will be $826.84 a month; Ee & Spouse will be $938.56 a month and Employee will be $446.93 a month all with a $600.00 deductible.
Approved the Classified Contracts, Wages and Benefits for 2010-2011 as presented.
Tabled the approval of the Teacher Activity Assignments.
Approved the Special Education Policies as presented.
Approved the Student, Faculty and Athletic Handbooks for 2010-2011 as amended.
There were no major requisitions at this time to approve.
Offered $100,275.00 Superintendent salary for 2010-2011 school year.
Offered $75,600.00 Principal Salary for 2010-2011 school year.
