2010-11 NEW FACULTY MEMBERS

July 31, 2010

Kenesaw Public School welcomes two new faculty members for the 2010-2011 school year.

Jennifer Bekke will be the new Special Education teacher and assistant girls' basketball coach.  She is originally from Kimball, Nebraska and now resides in Hastings.  She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2008, and has been working in Hastings for the past two years.  Her hobbies include playing with her dogs, playing basketball, volleyball, the piano and singing.

She has always wanted to be a teacher, and is glad that her dream is now coming true.  She is anxious to get to know all of the families with the school and for us to get to know her as a person and a teacher.  Please welcome Jennifer.

Brandon Jacobitz will be the new Science teacher and assistant football coach.  He is originally from Holstein and graduated from Silver Lake.  He attended Hastings College and completed his degree in Physical Science Education, with a minor in coaching.  He played football for Hastings College, where he achieved many honors including All-Conference and All-American awards.  Most recently, he was the 7-12 science teacher at Giltner.

He believes in hands-on learning and real-life experiences to further understand science concepts.  Growing up nearby and competing against Kenesaw in high school, he has always been very impressed by the prestige and class that not only the school, but the entire community as a whole has always shown.  He is excited to be a part of this tradition, as well as ensure that it carries on into the future.  Please welcome Brandon.
