The ESU #9 Sumdog Contest ended on December 15th. Congratulations to all those who took part! Especially to the students at Kenesaw Public School!
Kenesaw Public School won the grand prize! They will receive an engraved trophy and a site license for “Yenka Mathematics” software (worth $750). Daily prize winners will receive a school certificate and a site license for “Yenka 3D Shapes” software (worth $330). Daily winners from the ESU 9 area included two Hastings Public Elementary Schools — Hawthorne and Longfellow, Adams Central #12 Juniata Elementary, Doniphan-Trumbull, Kenesaw, and Hampton Public Schools. The top ten performing students in the entire contest will also be awarded certificates. Those students included 4 from Kenesaw Public, 4 from Hastings Public Schools (2 from Hawthorne Elementary and 2 from Longfellow Elementary), 1 from Crete Middle School and 1 from Adams Central #12 Juniata Elementary. During this same time period, there was a Nebraska-Wyoming Sumdog contest. A fourth grade class from Hastings St. Michael’s Elementary School participated in this contest. They were a daily winner for that contest with one student in the top ten performing students.
Again thank you to all students who participated in this year’s ESU #9 Sumdog Contest.
